Stream of Consciousness is a narration of the events in the life of Devanna Badr, a young woman who lived in a poor community with her parents and seven other siblings, until the community was invaded and the family had to flee. They escaped by hiding in supply ships, but were separated in the process; while her mother and two sisters went in one of the main ships, her father and two sisters went in a different one, while the other three went in another, ending in her going in a fourth ship alone. There, she hid in the captain’s cabin, who days later found her, but fed and provided her clothing and such, instead of telling on her. However, before she could step on land again, pirates attacked the ship. The captain saved her life by giving her one of the ship’s emergency boats after she was mortally wounded and told her that, if she met her fiancé and daughter, to tell them she’ll always love them. Then, a few days later Devanna finally reached a city, in which she must try to survive in.
